Summer Green Cart Tips
   • A layer of balled-up paper on top of the grate prevents material from sticking to the metal grate.

   • Add a layer of grass clippings over food that may smell before pickup (such as seafood, etc).

   • Freeze your organic waste and place in the cart the day before pickup.

   • More moisture = more maggots and smell. If your waste is particularly wet, wrap in a healthy layer of newsprint and/or use boxboard such as a cereal box to absorb moisture and odour!
