We offer educational and interactive presentations to fit any grade
level!
Depending on availability, we are able to take Moby S. Loop, the RRFB
recycling robot, for our presentations.
We can help your school in a number of ways:
We have several tools available to schools in educating the children
of Region 6 on creating and maintaining a healthy environment. Our
staff are available to make presentations on a variety of topics
including the 3 R's, composting, how to separate waste, and what
happens to materials when they are recycled into new products.
Green Teams
Our Green team program is based on peer to peer education. A green
team meets with our staff three to four times, and with the help of
school administration and faculty support, the Green Team will
complete its objective: peer to peer recycling education. At the
completion of the Green team process, the team will present the
information that we have provided them to the rest of the school. In
the past, this has included skits, PowerPoint presentations, video,
posters, assemblies, and much more.
Moby S. Loop
Our educator, Kirk Symonds, visits dozens of schools in our region
every year with Moby S. Loop, The RRFB's recycling robot.
Tailored Presentations
We can tailor a presentation to suit your learners' needs. We have a
very popular presentation focused on recycled products, and we have
done presentations on Economics and Recycling, Composting Fun, The
Lifestyle of Plastics, etc.
Waste Audits
We can come to your school and conduct a basic waste audit and help
your school with the process of sorting your waste. Although these
audits are not time consuming, we do require participation from both
custodial staff and administration. A waste audit is also a
prerequisite for our Green Team program.
