Special Event Greening:
If you are hosting a special event this summer, it is important that waste management be included in your planning. We can help! Contact our office for your “Event Greening Guide” that will offer tips for managing waste.

Waste Reduction Tips for Events and Festivals
Cluster your waste bins together for easy use. *
Post sorting signs at every waste station and place them at eye level.
Colour code your containers (blue for recycling, green for organics, and black for garbage)
Use reusable dishes and cutlery or compostable paper plates and cups.
Adopt purchasing practices that limit packaging (such as discouraging single-serve containers)
Appoint or hire individuals to deal with on-site waste and litter

For more information, you can call us for a free consultation. You can also download the RRFB’s Event Greening Guide.

* Many municipalities have waste stations that may be loaned out to community groups for public events. Please visit our contacts page for your municipal contact information.
